What is your cancellation policy?
Rover Expeditions' policy is designed to protect you from unexpected or unpredictable events that may cause your trip to be canceled or delayed. If you need to cancel for any reason, your initial deposit is good for life to remain securely on file until you are ready to use it because your deposit is completely transferable to another, you can easily pass it on to anyone of your friends or relatives.
Cancellation notice is required, a minimum of 20 days prior to trip departure. Cancellation of a confirmed booking must be made by the client in writing either in the written document or in an email. Cancellation shall valid with approval from the company after receiving the document. Trip shall then be termed as a cancellation and however, there would be applied hotels and flight cancellation charges 30% of the trip amount would be deducted from the advance deposit and remaining would go for lifetime deposit.
Cancellation by Rover Expeditions
A full refund of tour value will be remitted to you, should there be any cancellation due to the insufficiency of group members or other unforeseen circumstances. We may be obliged to cancel your holiday for reasons like strikes, natural disasters, terrorist activities or threat of such and closure of airport, war, riots, civil disturbances, we will inform you as soon as possible if we can offer you an alternative holidays of comparable standard or make a prompt full refund of all amount paid less reasonable expenses. However, we can be under no other liability to you in such cases.
Travel Insurance
Adequate and valid travel insurance is compulsory for all travelers. Your travel insurance must cover accidents, injury, illness, and death medical expenses, pre-existing medical conditions, emergency repatriation (including helicopter rescue) and personal liability.
Passport and Visas
All travelers must carry a valid passport and have rightly obtained the appropriate visas when traveling with us.
During the Trip
The guide who represents Rover Expeditions deserves all duty and authority during the trip. If anybody commits any kind of unlawful act, you are compelled to leave the tour. No refund will be made in that case.
Also, we’re not answerable for any loss or damage of your luggage or property belonging to you even when shouldered by porters, ponies or vehicles. Your personal possessions, luggage are at your risk at the time.
Flight Delay
Flight by airplane and helicopter are prone to cancellations and delays for the notorious weather in remote areas and sometimes operational complications which could be happened in particular in Everest region-Lukla flight, Annapurna region-Jomsom flight, Dolpa, Simikot, and Jumla, etc. When you plan for this region, we recommend to carry extra money to buy food and accommodation in case of delays, Rover Expeditions will consider some expenses and other expenses travelers should pay themselves.
Flight Cancelled Due to bad weather
Twin otter is the primary mode of transport to and from the airstrip at Lukla and Jomsom. This service is fairly dependable. Sometimes, flight (to and from Lukla, Jomsom) may be canceled due to bad weather or technical problems. In such a case, Rover Expeditions will charter a helicopter to ensure you are on schedule for your international flight. The helicopter can fly if the visibility is 1500m, while the twin otter can fly if the visibility is 5000m, as per Nepal’s Civil Aviation rules. The cost of the helicopter is payable directly to our Kathmandu office in the event that service is utilized. USD cash or credit cards (Visa, National, and Master cards only) accepted. You will be given a receipt upon payment so that you may claim the amount from your travel insurance.
